BEFORE YOU DECIDE
Your Laser Treatment Questions, Answered
Understand what treatment involves, how results develop, and what to expect before making your decision.
What Can Pico Genesis Skin Rejuvenation Address?
Pico Genesis addresses pigmentation concerns such as sun or age spots, freckles, melasma and hyperpigmentation. If your concerns also include fine lines, wrinkles, enlarged pores, thin or crepey-looking skin or reduced elasticity, Bonnie will explain the available treatment options after assessing your skin. Acne scars are covered under Acne Scar Treatment.
Can You Remove Unwanted Brow Tattoos or Microblading?
LustreLook offers laser removal for unwanted brow tattoos, microblading, and permanent makeup. The enLIGHTen III uses different wavelengths to target a range of pigments. The approach depends on pigment color, depth, age, and saturation, along with your skin’s response. Bonnie can assess the area and explain the likely course; complete removal cannot be guaranteed.
How Many Treatment Sessions Will I Need?
Skin rejuvenation: A typical initial course may involve 2–3 treatments spaced approximately six weeks apart. Improvements develop gradually, with the original treatment guidance describing results over six months to a year and maintenance approximately twice a year. Bonnie will explain how these expectations apply to your skin and treatment plan.
Acne and body scars: The number of treatments and spacing depend on the scar’s type, depth, color, location and healing response. Bonnie will assess the area and explain the proposed course and realistic expectations.
Brow tattoos and microblading: Treatment may involve 1–3 sessions spaced approximately eight weeks apart. Pigment color, depth, age, saturation and previous removal treatments can affect the course.
Body tattoos: The number of sessions varies with the tattoo’s size, colors, depth, age, location and previous scarring. Fading develops gradually, with healing time between treatments. Complete clearance cannot be guaranteed.
These are general planning estimates, not guarantees. Your recommended treatment course, intervals and maintenance will be explained following assessment.
Does Laser Treatment Hurt?
Laser treatment can feel like a snapping or pinching sensation, and tattoo removal can be uncomfortable or painful. Sensitivity varies with the treatment, body area, and individual. Topical numbing may be an option for some procedures. Discuss comfort measures with Bonnie before treatment so you know what is available and what to expect.
What Recovery or Aftercare Will I Need?
Recovery depends on the procedure and treatment intensity. Redness, swelling, and tenderness can occur; tattoo removal may also cause blistering or crusting. Changes in skin pigmentation are another possible side effect. You will receive treatment-specific instructions for cleansing, skincare, sun protection, and follow-up. Let the treated skin heal as directed and discuss any concerns with the treating practitioner. Review medicines and skincare products before treatment; do not stop prescribed medication without guidance from your prescriber.
Is Laser Treatment Suitable for My Skin?
Suitability depends on your skin type, the concern being treated, your medical history, and any medicines or skincare products you use. For tattoo and brow-pigment removal, the ink characteristics also matter. These factors should be reviewed during your consultation before a treatment plan is recommended.
How Much Does Treatment Cost?
See the Treatment Pricing section for selected areas and package options. Your cost depends on the treatment area and the course recommended for you. Bonnie will explain the proposed plan and cost before you decide whether to proceed. The number of visits in a package does not guarantee a specific result.
